We believe that a wedding ceremony should be a unique celebration of love and that no two should be the same. Ceremonies should receive more attention than any other component of the "big day". After all, it is the heart of the celebration--the public declaration of your feelings for each other. Creativity must reign supreme when it comes to putting together your ceremony.
We respect the religious and spiritual preferences of each couple--our customized ceremonies span the range from religious to secular. An expression of faith should not be dictated by the minister but by the partners in the marriage. As your officiant, our role is to implement your wishes, assist you with ideas, provide you with resources, answer your questions, and facilitate a smooth and worry-free ceremony. We promise to keep you and stress as far apart from each other as possible on your wedding day.
Because having a beige, cookie-cutter ceremony is unforgivable.....
We are professional wedding officiants. Although technically, we are Colorado wedding ministers, we prefer to use the phrase Colorado wedding officiants due to the fact that we perform ceremonies of all types--secular, spiritual and religious. All of us obtained our minister credentials solely for the purpose of legally performing weddings. We do not preach, nor is it our intention to preside at ceremonies that are merely prescribed rituals sanctioned by a particular religion.
While traditional ministers play a vital role (leading congregations, giving counsel, performing missionary work, etc.) they are not necessarily the best choice to preside over a creative heartfelt wedding ceremony. In fact, most ministers affiliated with organized religions are obligated to perform wedding ceremonies that are reflective of the beliefs of their particular sect. The same extends (in reverse) to civil servants (i.e. judges, magistrates, justices of the peace) who are not allowed to bring God into their ceremonies at all. (Separation of church and state being what it is!).
We combine the best of both worlds, and get to know you so that we can tell your unique love story on your wedding day in the most creative, inspirational way possible. We utilize our listening skills, creativity, humor, experience and can-do attitude to create a celebration that will be exactly as you want it every step of the way.
Which is the best choice for you?
The answer is...it depends. Some couples long for a church wedding, complete with all the rituals and pre-written words that make these types of services traditional. Or maybe you want to be married by the priest that baptized you, or the rabbi that presided over your bar mitzvah. If that is your preference, then Lyssabeth's officiants are probably not the best fit for you.
If you want something unique and creative, Lyssabeth's wedding officiants would be your best choice.
- Perhaps you want no mention of God in your ceremony, but still want it poignant and meaningful.
- Maybe you have religious beliefs that you'd want in your ceremony while your fiance(e) is not so inclined. We'll show you how to incorporate both.
- Want something nature-based?
- Or do you prefer the traditional vows (we do those too!) along with some other creative touches not found in a more traditional ceremony?
- Perhaps you haven't been inside a church in 10 years, but Grandma doesn't know that so you're feeling a nod to a higher power in your ceremony might be in order.

Lyssabeth's officiants are ceremony specialists. We come from backgrounds that include public speaking, teaching, event-planning, counseling, writing and the arts. We share a passion for helping two people publicly express their love in a way that is like no other. Our excellence at what we do stems from our passion, our experience, our creativity and our open-mindedness.
We don't require pre-marital counseling; we don't "bless" your marriage (although we may invoke a blessing on your behalf in whatever manner reflects your beliefs). In fact, we really don't "marry" you in the strictest sense of the word. You marry each other--we simply help you express your love, help you create your celebration and then facilitate it for you on your wedding day.
Locations Served...
Our wedding officiants perform ceremonies throughout Colorado. Our Denver wedding officiants travel to the following areas to perform custom ceremonies: metro Denver, Boulder, Evergreen, Fort Collins, Estes Park, Colorado Springs and any areas within 65 miles of central Denver.
We also serve the mountain areas (Keystone, Breckenridge, Winter Park, Vail, Buena Vista and Nathrop) from our Vail area office.
