My friends know me as a warm, fun loving, creative and adventurous soul. But I have also seen life at its toughest times. I was born and raised in Michigan, moved to Indiana for several years, then to Colorado seven years ago. This state, with its glorious natural beauty, is home.
My son Jesse, who graduated from college in 2008, moved here, too. Cali, my sweet and crazy red healer, loves to hike and power walk with me, and would join me skiing if she could. I also love to cook, read, travel, attend wine tastings and I enjoy music of all genres.
As a romantic at heart, I absolutely love weddings, and was thrilled to have the opportunity to become an officiant. Weddings make me smile, cry tears of joy, and even laugh. My favorite wedding? The one when the nervous groom said, "With this wing I thee wed." Stifled laughter and grins filled the audience. It was one of those moments that all in attendance will never forget! And nothing can match the tender feelings between a bride and groom on their wedding day. Even the feeling in the air is something friends and family remember for a lifetime.
I remember my own wedding day and all the emotion that filled my heart. My late husband was so anxious you would have thought he was the bride. His actions were so endearing. Our ceremony was amid the luscious greenery of the Hoosier National Forest on the deck of our home. He arranged the plants and flowers until they were just right, and he rearranged them again and again because they needed to be just perfect.
Now that you know a little about me, I would enjoy getting to know you as a couple and your wishes for your wedding. Tell me your love story, how you met, your favorite experiences together, the proposal, and anything else you'd like to share. Sharing your story will allow us to create a wedding ceremony that can only be yours. It will be my privilege to help you plan and officiate on your day. I can offer the personal touch you want so that you can create the celebration of love you have dreamed about. I would be honored to officiate your wedding ceremony.
